Our Forma 60 class is a combination of Functional training & HIIT (High intensity interval training)

It is a 60-minute trainer led total body conditioning strength training workout. Each session will target various muscles as you go through different ‘stations.’ These stations are ‘obstacles’ to work through, and include free weights, medicine balls, sleds, battle ropes, and more. Think of it as one of those obstacle courses you did when you were a kid – challenging yet fun. This instructor-led, group fitness class is designed to build strength and burn fat.

Part one of the workout

Depending on where you are at with your fitness goals, you are in the process of learning the science and research behind the Forma 60 Fitness Class. How does it help me build strength and burn fat?  The Forma 60 is a HIIT (High intensity interval training) class, which is a training technique which involves short, quick, intense bursts of exercise, sometimes following rest and recovery period. This type of training is meant to keep your heart rate up so that you can burn more calories in less time. A high-intensity workout increases the body’s need for oxygen while you are exerting effort and creates an oxygen shortage, causing your body to need more oxygen during recovery. This is how an intense, Forma 60 workout will help you burn more fat and calories than average aerobic workout.

Part two of the training

The second part of the Forma 60 Class is functional training, which is designed to train and develop your muscles to make it easier and safer to perform everyday activities, such as carrying groceries or lifting your child over-head. In a Forma 60, you will be training your muscles while also maintaining proper form.
